Hodžovo námestie

Smaller, although very important square where you will find the residence of the Slovak republic president Grassalkovich palace (generally called Presidential palace) and a large fountain Earth – planet of peace from 1982.

The palace has a publicly accessible garden (Grassalkovich garden) which is directly behind the palace building. It’s just beautiful, so go and see for yourself, ideally after noon with your favourite book.

Majority of public transport, and also night public transport, is going through the stops on the square.

The Presidential garden is open during April-September throughout week from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.. During October-March it’s open from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m..
